During my first attempt of editing, I discovered my error almost immediately. This was unfortunate as I spent a lot of time filming and only to find out that I was going to need to do it all over again.
The whole sequence was over exposed by at least 10 times as much as at should have been. The attention to detail was unclear and seemed like a dream world more than a reality.
I actually edited the rough cut and thought that I may be able to get away with but unfortunately my teacher immediately told me to scrap it and do it all over again. This was understandably frustrating but something that I had to deal with and persevere onwards.
After I completed the rough cut, I actually searched for a Final Cut Pro plugin that could potentially decrease the exposure post production which is extremely difficult and inevitably didn't work.
When I do things over I will check every instance of filming very thoroughly and make sure not to make the same mistake or one even remotely similar. There comes a time when you make one mistake too far and you vow to never do it again.
